What To Expect
Days 1–4: Coastal Caves, Ancient Knowledge & Fossil Discoveries
Your journey begins in Cape Town at Parker Cottage, taking in Table Mountain's ancient geology before venturing along the West Coast. You will engage with San guides at the !Khwa ttu San Heritage Centre to learn tracking and foraging traditions, followed by a coastal stay in Paternoster at Strandloper Ocean Boutique Hotel. Discover millions of years of natural history during a guided excavation at the West Coast Fossil Park, and explore Middle Stone Age archaeology at Klipgat Cave overlooking Walker Bay.
Days 5–7: Highveld Heritage, Cradle Digs & City Culture
Fly to Johannesburg to settle in at The Peech Hotel. You will spend a full day exploring the world-famous Cradle of Humankind, taking a behind-the-scenes look at active fossil dig sites and the Malapa Museum alongside expert guides. Delve into urban art and history with guided visits to Constitution Hill, the Wits Origins Centre, Newtown, and Maboneng.
Days 8–10: Wild Kruger, Lost Kingdoms & Riverine Luxury
Fly into northern Kruger National Park to your base at Pafuri Tented Camp in the Makuleke Concession. Experience sunrise game walks, open-vehicle drives, and an exclusive guided tour of the 13th-century stone ruins of Thulamela before returning home.
